The London Chapter of the Cornell Hotel Society is the largest Hotel School alumni organization in Europe. Our society has approximately 110 alumni registered throughout the United Kingdom (England, Wales and Scotland), with the majority residing in London.

CHS London Membership Base: London and the Greater UK

Given the large base of alumni in London, most of our events will be located in London, yet it is one of our goals to make this organization the chapter for the greater UK area to keep all alumni in the region informed and an important part of the organization. In addition to planning regular events for alumni located within or near to London, we also strive to provide a networking opportunity for alumni from elsewhere in the world passing through London to keep you “plugged-in” at all times. Please join us if there is a CHS London event during your visit.

You are eligible to join the CHS London Chapter if you are a Cornell University Hotel School undergraduate or graduate degree holder, including any of the affiliate programs (PDP, MMH, etc).

Important Annual Dues Support

As an eligible alumnus residing in the UK, you are automatically a member of the CHS London chapter. However, there is a distinction between being just a CHS London member and an active “dues paying” member to the CHS London Chapter. In an effort to keep the annual event costs low, which helps provide the active alumni with attractive events, and to work toward year end goals such as funding scholarship foundations, we do ask for membership support in the form of an annual dues payment (£35 for 2007).

The annual dues collection effort has been initiated for 2007 through e-mail and letter mailings. If you have not yet paid your dues directly to the CHS London chapter, we kindly ask that you make a payment directly on-line.

It is important to note that the National Chapter of CHS also asks for your dues payments annually, which is separate from the London Chapter’s request here. Your dues payments to the National Chapter are used to support the parent group’s alumni leadership efforts, while your dues payments to the CHS London Chapter are specific to the London organization.
